Dr. Wells wants his patients to have fun during the orthodontic process and take pride in their smiles.
Choosing any kind of doctor is a big decision. Orthodontia is especially personal because of the cosmetic nature of the practice. You want to ensure you’re choosing somebody who shares your vision and is trustworthy through the entire process. If you are searching for an orthodontist for your children, this is true on an even deeper level. It takes a special person to be an expert in this field, and Dr. Adam Wells is proud to be one half of the pair of doctors who serve our patients at Braces Now 14.
Born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio, Dr. Wells began his academic journey at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio where he received his undergraduate degree. He then ventured to the University of Louisville in Kentucky. It was here where he met Dr. Guilbert who would later become his partner in forming Braces Now 14! He completed his dental training in Louisville, earning his Doctor of Dental Medicine with honors.
Dr. Wells’ residency training also took place at the University of Louisville. In addition to his doctorate, he completed a certificate in orthodontics and earned a master’s degree in oral biology at the university. When he was through with residency, he began practicing orthodontics in San Diego. This is where he met his wife, Jacquelyn.
Dr. Wells and Jacquelyn now have two boys, Austin and Bennett, and reside in the metro area. The pair says that although they find themselves at home more these days, they are adventure seekers at heart. They enjoy traveling and trying out new activities, from white water rafting and zip lining to racing in half marathons and paddle boarding at the beach. Dr. Wells also enjoys running, cycling, and playing golf. A family man himself, Dr. Wells is glad to know that Norcross families have a trustworthy, bilingual orthodontist in the area.
Applying the latest technology is one of Dr. Wells’ passions when it comes to his practice. This includes clear aligners (Invisalign®), mini-screw implants, self-ligating braces, and soft-tissue lasers among others. Orthodontics has seen some major breakthroughs in the last ten years, and Dr. Wells says that he’s very passionate about staying on the leading edge of treatment technique, technology, and patient care. He is a regular attendee of the American Association of Orthodontists annual meetings, as well as other seminars, and works closely with a network of orthodontists to share ideas and best practices.
In Dr. Wells’ words: “I truly want our patients to have fun during the process and be proud of the dynamic smiles that we create together. What inspires me most about this great profession is seeing the lasting, positive impact that a great smile can have on kids and adults alike.”
